I’m planning ahead. I’m not sure how to deal with inside corners.
I will apply Zpoxy to the Mahogany and Maple prior to spraying nitro.
I won’t be able to sand and polish the sharp corner.
I have an idea to apply and build up Zpoxy using a syringe to create a radius and scrape or sand it smooth.
Any other ideas?
Thanks a bunch, Dan

What kind of finish will you be using? Most will form a nice radius all by its lonesome.....

Chris, I’ll be using Mohawk nitro lacquer

I think that would work fine, Dan - depending on the number of coats.

You do plan on breaking the top edge a bit with sandpaper? Just enough to ease the corner?

Thanks Chris! Yes, I plan to round over the edges.

After that sneak peak I'm interested in how it turns out. Keep us posted.

The zpoxy filled the sharp corners.
The instrument is ready for lacquer (probably next year].
I used Freeman’s technique of applying zpoxy over the Maple and then spraying a tinted lacquer.
It looks great, with nice chatoyance.
